Answers to frequently asked questions about beach weddings
What happens if it rains? We can perform your ceremony at the covered deck located on the beach if it is available. We can also wait out the weather if timing allows or give you the option of holding the ceremony at the chapel. If the weather forecast calls for an 80-100% chance of rain, we can reschedule your beach ceremony ahead of time, working around your availability.
What days do you perform beach ceremonies? We are now performing beach ceremonies 7 days a week. Holding your ceremony on a weekday usually means that there will be very few people on the beach, ensuring a more private ceremony.
How long does it take to get to Cocoa Beach? From the Orlando area, it's about an hour's drive to Cocoa Beach. Certain areas such as Davenport, Clermont, and Kissimmee are a bit further away, but we provide detailed directions from your exact location. If you're booking a package that includes limo transportation and you are staying in Davenport, Clermont, or Kissimmee, please add $118.75 to your total package price for an extra hour of limo time.
Is seating provided for my guests? Some of our beach wedding packages include seating. For the packages that do not include chairs, your guests will generally gather around you in a circle during the ceremony.
Will there be music? Only the natural sounds of the ocean : ). You can add a harpist or violinist to your wedding package if you'd like- they are both fantastic.
Can I add a DVD to my Beach Package? Yes. The sound quality may not be comparable to ceremonies held indoors, but the picture quality will be very good.
Can I have someone come to my hotel or villa to do my hair and makeup? Yes. We have 2 stylists available that can travel to you on the wedding day. Feel free to contact Heidi for pricing & services.
How should I wear my hair, and should I wear a veil? For you to be most comfortable, it's best to wear your hair back or partially back. Since the beach can be a bit windy, we advise against wearing a veil- you will spend the whole time fighting with it : ).
Is there a place to change into my wedding dress at the beach? There are restroom facilities, but you may find them to be sandy depending on the time of day.
Is there plenty of parking at your beach location? Yes...and it's free!
Do you perform sunrise ceremonies? We sure do- if you are interested in a sunrise wedding, please contact Heidi for special arrangements. The extra fees run from $150 to $200, depending on the package.
