Getting a marriage license is very easy. If you are NOT A FLORIDA RESIDENT, you can get your marriage license the same day you arrive in Florida. The Courthouses are open Monday through Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. The cost is $93.50 to $98.00.
"Is there a waiting period?" Only if you live in Florida. If you ARE a Florida resident, you will have a 3-day waiting period. Otherwise, you can get it right on the spot.
"What is the residency requirement?" There is absolutely no residency requirement. If either the Bride or Groom is a Florida resident, you will have a 3-day waiting period, unless you take the premarital course. If neither is a Florida resident, you can get your license the very day you arrive (Monday-Friday) and be married that same day!
"One or both of us has been married before. Do I need to bring my divorce paperwork?" No. When you're filling in the form at the Courthouse, it will ask if you have been previously married. You will need to fill in the date your last marriage ended, but you won't need to show proof.

#1 - Download this form for Orange County or #2 - Download (Footnote) If you are not a Florida resident, in Section C, you will need to check that you "have not" completed a premarital preparation course. If you are a Florida resident and have completed a premarital preparation course, you will need to provide proof. The course is not a requirement. |

MARRIAGE LICENSE SERVICE - $293.50 (total includes our fee of $200 + court fee of $93.50)
We will send you a link for a secure online form to fill out in order for us to collect your information. Once we receive the form, we will process the information with the court and have your license paperwork drawn up. If you are a US resident, we can send the paperwork to you at home to be notarized. If you are a non-US resident, we can set up a time for you to come in & meet with us (with your passports!) upon your arrival to Orlando.
For non-US Residents: We are happy to send the paperwork to you at home to be notarized if you prefer- if you have access to a licensed solicitor who can sign the documents, you are welcome to have the papers signed at home instead of meeting with us ahead of the wedding day. We have heard that it is very expensive to have documents notarized overseas, so we offer the same service here as part of the license process in order for you to avoid added costs.
